I would like to introduce Mable the cow to all of you. My cousin has a little girl (Emerson) who is sooo adorable and I wanted to make something special for her. I thought that a nice animal purse would be great. I asked her mom what kind of animal she would like and what color. She suggested a cow but her favorite color is purple. Now...who in the world has ever seen a purple cow??? So, I thought that I can give her a cow with purple spots. This is a very special cow just for her and she can give it any color she likes!! So, I made the cow with Super Soft Bubbly Boucle frothy cream by Sensations (I didn't want white as it can get really dirty fast for a 2 two year old), the spots were with Casual Boucle dark purple by Sensations; the horns with Rainbow Boucle in black by Sensations and the muzzle with Golden Rod Incredibly soft yarn in pink by Sensations. Overall it turned out pretty nice. I forgot the take photos of the cow before I mailed it and so had to rely on my cousin to take some photos for me. I am so thankful to her for that because I would not have been able to share Mable (this is what Emerson named her) with all of you. I hope you like it!.
I have been on a sewing frenzy as of late and wanted to share a couple of items with you. Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a sewer! I am teaching myself to sew and have a LONG way to go! I was inspired to dust off my sewing machine (which my mom bought me a long time ago still in new condition) and begin sewing when I saw all the beautiful items my cousin Bianca created. I know that these are not crocheted but I feel that if I can get into sewing, I can incorporate some crocheted embellishments to my finished pieces. The sky is the limit (I believe) when it comes to crocheting. So, I just wanted to share what I have been doing lately! Hope you enjoy viewing them!
