I bought the bootie paw pattern on Etsy from Desert Diamond. This lady does fine work! I decided to make a hat to match and add a little pink bow on the sides of the paws to give it a girl wolf- like feel! I think she looks just gorgeous in this outfit! The pattern is pretty straight forward and I think that your little one would look wonderful in this as well. Below is a little sneak peek photo in her giraffe outfit. Of course, it is still a little big for her so when she can fully wear it, I will post more photos. She is soooo adorable that I cannot resist putting up pictures. So enjoy them!

Trying to keep up with this blog has proven to be a bit of a challenge! I needed to take a little bit of time now to post. I could not resist posting this very adorable photo of Phoenix wearing his little doggy hat and diaper set I crocheted for him. Thanks to his mom, Amber, for taking the photo for me. I just love it!!
You can get this pattern anywhere on the internet as it is very easy to make even for beginners! I made adaptations to the hat as I prefer certain stitches over the other. One book that is good to get and I have used often is "Hats & Diaper Covers" by Leisure Arts. By the way, to all the mothers that I have crocheted hats, diaper covers, and blankets for - I am still waiting on photos!! :-) Happy Crocheting! I have been on a frenzy trying to crochet baby blankets for my upcoming grandbaby! Oh, that word makes me sounds soooo old when I am soooo young!! LOL But, I wanted to get it all done in time for a surprise baby shower I was having for my daughter in law. I think that they turned out great!! Two of them were fleece blankets with crocheted edgings. I had one of the fleece blankets embroidered. The third blanket, I crocheted myself using a pattern from Lion Brand called the Tree of Life. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The detailing on the blanket is exquisite and creative. You have trees on the top and bottom and a field of flowers in the center. This particular blanket Roxanne wanted me to crochet for her, but I told her that it was too difficult to do. I threw her right off! She opted for another one which was NOT as beautiful as this one but when she saw that I made the one she especially wanted....she was THRILLED!!! I was soooo happy that she loved it! Let me know what you think!!
It certainly has been a long time since my last post but I wanted to share some of the things that I have been working on. I made some hats to sell in the Bahamas and they loved them. Most of the yarn used were scrap yarn from various other projects. They all turned out well. Here are some of the items I made. Hope you enjoy them! Animal Winter HatsYou can view more animal hats here.Spring hatsI wanted to post these for sometime but just didn't have the opportunity. Now, I am able to share what I have been working on for some very special brethren. I am in the process of crocheting pot holders to accompany these dishcloths as they make a very nice kitchen gift set. They are made with Bernat Handicrafters Cotton yarn in various colors. It is important to use cotton as they are durable and quite fitting for dishcloths. I've added some pot holders in this photo for your viewing. It certainly has been a long time since my last blog. I am in the process of transitioning my blog to my new business website. The posts that I am now displaying were seen under the crochet tab. Now, they can be viewed here under my blog. Please bear with me as I have lots more to blog. I am trying to get my business off the ground and it has taken a lot of my time. Looking forward to blogging more so please continue to stop by and see the updates. This scarf was made with a combination of 2 yarns - ivory and pink mist by caron simply soft. I was making this scarf for an order I had but it turned out really small so I gave it to my daughter. This fit her perfectly! The pattern for this can be found on lionbrand.com. posted 01-16-11 I had an order for some scarves and hats for four little girls. I would have loved to see them in it and share them with you, but for now, here are a few of the items for your viewing. The colors are off white and pink mist, purple mist and off white and pink mist and soft pink. They are all by caron simply soft yarn. posted 01-23-11 My daughter-in-law, Roxanne, loves to bundle up in this cold Texan weather and so she picked out the perfect cowl for her attire. She loved the stitch of her scarf so much that she wanted the same for her cowl. It came out beautifully! This was quick and cozy taupe yarn. posted 01-23-11 I made this for my husband but decided to be the "guinea pig" to model this scarf! The yarn I used was from vanna's choice and it was a combination of charcoal print and light grey. This pattern can also be found on the lion brand website. I also made this identical scarf for my daughter-in-law in vanna's choice dusty purple yarn. posted 01-23-11 ↓↓↓ I made a beautiful cowl for Roxy that was taken from a pattern by Michelle Arellano. If you are interested in this pattern, you can go to her shop on www.daintyloops.etsy.com. She has such beautiful patterns and items that you can purchase. The cowl is made with Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Cozy yarn in cranberry color. Here's Roxy sporting her new cowl at work. Hope you like it!
I just wanted to finally add a photo of my nephew, Matthew, wearing the little monkey hat I made for him and blogged. I really wished the photo was of a better quality but I am happy for what I received. Isn't he adorable!!!!
Another item I was working on along with the two animal hats was this very cute and plush bunny purse. This was made for my "niece" Landyn and she chose her colors. Sensations yarn in pink (a very soft and plush yarn) and Caron Simply Soft yarn in grey. Buttons are used for the eyes and to close the purse. Hope you like it!
It has been a very long time since my last post. I am in the process of starting my very own online baking/crochet business and that have kept me quite busy along with relocating my mother-in-law near to us. I wanted to take a little time now to show some of the things that I have been working on that will also be up for sale once my business starts to get going! I made these two hats for my two "nephews". One is a puppy hat made with Vanna's Choice yarn in charcoal grey and linen color and Caron Simply soft yarn in black and white for the nose and eyes. The other hat is a sock monkey hat made with Vanna's Choice baby yarn in goldfish color and linen and Promo Fil yarn in taupe color and Caron Simply soft yarn in black. I took a picture of these hats with my daughter as I am still awaiting the photos of the boys in the hats. Hope you like them. By the way, there are sooo many patterns online with these hats that are free. If you go to www.crochetpatterncentral.com you will be able to find the patterns there and so much more.
