4 -8oz cream cheese
11/2 cups sugar
3/4 cups milk (room temp.)
4 eggs (room temp)
1 cup sour cream
1tbsp. vanilla
1/4 cup flour
Crust:
15 graham crackers
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
Sauce:
1/2 cup guava pulp
3-4 tbsp condense milk (more if you want it sweeter)
2 tsp brandy
1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Combine crust ingredients and place in 10-in. removable bottom pan on bottom and sides of pan. Bake in oven for 5 mins. Take out and cool.
Meanwhile fill a pan with water and place in bottom rack of oven decreasing the temp. to 300 degrees. This will create a moist atmosphere for your cheesecake.
Mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk and eggs one at a time. Combine in small bowl the sour cream, flour, guavas and vanilla. Mix this with cream cheese and be careful not to over mix. Pour in crust and bake for 1 hour. Turn off oven and leave cheesecake in there for 3 -5 hours. Do not open door! This will help your cheesecake not to crack on top.
If you like a sauce to accompany your cheesecake, you can take the pulp from the guava and mix in the condense milk and cook on stove. At the end, add rum and vanilla. For garnish, you can take a little cooked guava and decorate on each slice. Enjoy!
