I bought the bootie paw pattern on Etsy from Desert Diamond. This lady does fine work! I decided to make a hat to match and add a little pink bow on the sides of the paws to give it a girl wolf- like feel! I think she looks just gorgeous in this outfit! The pattern is pretty straight forward and I think that your little one would look wonderful in this as well. Below is a little sneak peek photo in her giraffe outfit. Of course, it is still a little big for her so when she can fully wear it, I will post more photos. She is soooo adorable that I cannot resist putting up pictures. So enjoy them!

It certainly has been a long time since my last post but I wanted to share some of the things that I have been working on. I made some hats to sell in the Bahamas and they loved them. Most of the yarn used were scrap yarn from various other projects. They all turned out well. Here are some of the items I made. Hope you enjoy them! Animal Winter HatsYou can view more animal hats here.Spring hatsI just wanted to finally add a photo of my nephew, Matthew, wearing the little monkey hat I made for him and blogged. I really wished the photo was of a better quality but I am happy for what I received. Isn't he adorable!!!!
My last post I showed the beanie bearded hats that I made for my son and husband. Well, my daughter felt left out and so I decided to make her one as well. It is different but she loves it. I got the pattern from this site: www.eisenbrauns.com It is a very simple pattern and it did not take long to make. The colors are brown by Simply Soft Caron yarn and flannel by Bernat Softee Baby yarn. My daughter tends to name everything...from dolls to pens and pencils...so she gave this hat a name and its name is "Slate". I had my husband photographed in it as well. They both love the hat!! I had fun making all of the bearded hats and enjoyed seeing my family in them.
I am so happy to finally show you all the items I have been working on for my sister. To recap from my past posts, I have been planning a shower for my sister and have been crocheting a baby blanket, baby bag, hat, and bootie socks for my sister and her (soon to be born) son, Matthew, before I left for my trip to the Bahamas. The shower turned out great and she was very pleased with the items. This tote bag was made with Caron Simply Soft yarn in a variegated yarn and ocean color. It has one button to loop over the top and I lined the bag with a light blue fabric covering a piece of pellon that gave it structure. I added a cute hippo applique to give the bag a baby feel and look. The theme for the shower was zoo animals and so I made a monkey hat from Caron Simply Soft yarn in dk. brown and from Promo Fil yarn in taupe. The booties were made from Caron Simply Soft yarn in white and blue, and from Bernat yarn in a light green shimmer. |
