My stepson , Brandon, saw a bearded beanie online and decided to buy one. He wanted his dad and brother to have one as well so I thought that I could find a pattern online and make one for each of them. I did find several sites but decided to go with this one for the beard. It is http://craftdisasters.blogspot.com. I must admit, the beard was a bit tricky but managed to get it nonetheless with some tweaking here and there. I am still looking for an easier pattern. When I find one, I will be sure to pass it along. So, in the meantime, here are some photos of the two beanie hats and beards I did for my family. The ones I did are the two men on either end of the photo. Brandon, the one in the middle bought his and it is quite nice. Unfortunately it is knitted (something that I hope to take up in the future). He requested one like his fellow companions and so I will be making one for him soon. You can use any beanie pattern (there are hundreds of them out there) and just attach the beard and mustache to them. My husband's hat is in charcoal grey and white and his beard is in grey heather by Caron Simply Soft yarn. My son's hat is in black and charcoal grey and his beard is in dk brown by Caron Simply Soft yarn. In the future, I will start posting patterns. In the meantime, I hope you will like the projects.
